Homemade Love- Choestoe School House- Blairsville, GA
I’m surprised that we haven’t seen more weddings at Choestoe School House, Blairsville, GA. This historical building is owned by the county and the price is right! But it is so much more that than a good deal. The main floor is perfection. Let me explain: The entire room is surrounded by beautiful windows, letting in the most beautiful light. The details of the wood trim, the chalkboard in the corner, and the incredible wood floors make this little wedding venue one of the top on our list.
This couple planned a DIY reception dinner and served it on the back porch, making it very convenient for prep and flow. The guests used the same table and chairs that they sat in for the ceremony. No need to flip the space.
Sunset was magical for so many reasons. The angle of the holler and the mountains in the background, along with the huge tree and natural fields made our sunset walk feel like we were walking in the Garden of Eden.
Shout out to Whimsy Flower Farm for adorning every window with a bundle of flowers. Another shout out to all the work that went into the homemade crepes and incredible sauces, all served on vintage dishes and silverware. I think this family should write a book on how to make your wedding super fancy and unique, while keeping to a budget. It’s all hands on deck when the family decides to take on the roll of DJ, caterer, officiant, florist, bartender and wedding planner. You’d think it would be overwhelming, but it was perfect.
