1960's Themed Wedding- Part Two- The Wedding and After-party

Choosing a theme for a wedding sets the tone, gives an excuse to go shopping, and inspires creativity to flow. Who doesn’t like to play dress-up, anyhow? Our grooms chose classic tuxes for themselves, one blue and one black. Handsome hardly describes them, so I am pulling from 60’s slang to get in touch with my groovy side. The black and white portrait is outta-sight with the forest surrounding the couple; strong and bold. What a treat to spend some time at Hawkes Nest during sunset. A far-out experience to be sure- the horizon laying layer upon layer of blue mountains.

Look for the foxy shot of Doug taking Stephan’s arm (like the classic scene in the movie, Dirty Dancing)- one of my favorite shots of the evening. Dirty Dancing was played all throughout the rehearsal dinner and karaoke party the night before the wedding, so we were still feeling the vibes.

You bet your sweet bippy that we loved the life-size standouts of Elvis and Audrey. Everyone had a entertaining challenge to find the best look-alike. Plenty of folks bogarting the incredible eats. Hawkesdene never disappoints when it comes to savory, sweets and drinks.
