Gates Lilybet- Who Gives an eff About an Oxford Comma

I want to take a moment to talk about my daughter, Gates Lilybet, who is the brains behind the blogs. I (Emilie) write them and choose the images, but she makes my words make sense. She keeps me talking in the same voice, teaches me the proper pronouns, and perfects my grammar. If you could only see the blogs when I write them…. it would be an English teacher’s worst nightmare. I have the feelings- just not the skills.

Thank you, Lilybet, for your amazing talent with words. Thank you for the time you take with me to get the finished product on the web to share with my precious clients. Thank you for encouraging me to be myself, to help me write without fear of judgment, and for being so positive all the time. You are a mother’s dream come true.

Thank you for babysitting little ones on elopements so that their mommas can get married. Thank you for coming with me when I shoot alone to carry the gear and run around with wedding dresses in the woods. Thank you for being a best friend. Girl power! I am proud of you and the way you are a big sister, a daughter, and a beautiful person, unique and independent. I-heart-you and I love blogging now.
